Students of Lilitha Nursing College in East London have been protesting after seven students were excluded from the college early this year.
The protesting students accused management of not following the college’s policy when excluding them.
The seven were excluded after they failed their major subject twice. According to the protesting students, the college management has no right to exclude students; only the college council can do that.
The protesters blocked the campus entrance, refusing to let management leave the college.
Students threatened not to return to classes even as an administrator addressed the students and said that if they did not return to classes, classes would be suspended.
College management refused to comment.
